| What's the difference between a suit and a tuxedo? Tuxedo jackets have a satin lapel, tuxedo pants have a satin stripe down the outside legs, tuxedo shirts have pintucking (pleats on the bodice of the shirt) as well as being compatible with studs and cuff links, and patent leather shoes are worn with tuxedos.
